Questions

Which languages does it format?

HTML, CSS and JavaScript. HTML can include style and script blocks, and they are formatted too. JSON is formatted as JavaScript.

How does it know the language?

It looks at how the code starts. Code that starts with a tag is HTML, a selector followed by a block of properties is CSS, and anything else is JavaScript. If it guesses wrong, choose the language yourself.

Does formatting change what my code does?

No. Only spaces and line breaks change. Text inside pre tags stays exactly as written.

Can it undo minification?

It puts the code back on separate lines with indentation, so it is readable again. Names that a minifier shortened stay short, because the original names are gone.

Is my code sent anywhere?

No. It is formatted inside your browser, so your code never leaves your device.
