Questions

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The versions are made inside your browser, and your image never leaves your device.

How accurate is it?

It is an approximation, for information only. It uses a published model of how each kind of colour blindness changes colours, at its strongest. People see colours differently, and it is not a test or a diagnosis.

What do the four versions show?

Protanopia and deuteranopia are the two kinds of red–green colour blindness, without working red or green cones. Tritanopia is blue–yellow colour blindness. Achromatopsia is seeing no colour at all, only light and dark.

How can I use this for my designs?

Check that charts, maps and buttons can still be told apart in every version. Where they can't, add labels, patterns or a stronger difference in lightness, not only colour.

What size are the versions?

The same size as your image. Each one downloads as a PNG, and all four together as a ZIP.
