Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Both PDFs are compared inside your browser, and your files never leave your device.
Does it compare pictures and layout?
No. Only the text is compared. Changes to pictures, fonts, colours or layout are not shown.
How are the pages matched?
By number. Page 1 is compared with page 1, page 2 with page 2, and so on. Pages that only one PDF has are listed as such.
Why does a scanned PDF show no differences?
A scan is a picture of the text, so it has no text to compare. Image to Text can read the words in a scan.
