Questions
Is the text under the boxes really removed?
Yes. Each page you redact is turned into a picture with the boxes burned in, so the text under them is not in the file at all.
What happens to the rest of a redacted page?
It becomes part of the picture too, so its text can no longer be selected or searched. Pages without boxes are not changed.
Can a redaction be undone?
Not in the redacted file. Keep your original if you might need it.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is redacted inside your browser and never leaves your device.
