Questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Blurring happens inside your browser, and your photos never leave your device.

Does it find faces by itself?

No. You draw a box over each face, number plate or detail you want to hide, so nothing is missed or hidden by a guess.

Should I blur or pixelate?

Both hide detail. Pixelate turns the area into large squares; blur softens it. For text and faces, a stronger setting hides more.

Can someone undo the blur?

The hidden pixels are replaced in the saved image, not covered by a layer. Weak settings can leave text readable, so use a strong setting, or both effects, for anything sensitive.

Can I place the boxes without a mouse?

Yes. Add region places a box in the middle; move it with the arrow keys, resize it with Alt and the arrow keys, or type its exact position and size.
